The Jordan River

The Jordan River has been designated by the State of Michigan as a wild, natural river because of its scenic beauty and wildlife.  It is surrounded by the famous Jordan Valley

The average depth is 2-4 feet as it meanders through the Jordan Valley and offers numerous places to pull up and enjoy a picnic lunch

Swiss Hideaway offers canoe and kayak trips for those who like excitement or those who like a relaxing trip.  Life jackets are also available

One and three hour trips are available. A full trip is approximately 15 miles. The Jordan River current is between 2 and 7 miles per hour. The River depth ranges from 1 to 6 feet with the majority of the river being in the 2 to 3 foot range.

Cancellations:

If, after make reservations, you find it necessary to cancel your trip, we ask that you call us.  We can only hold canoes for 20 minutes past your appointment.
